FAQs

    • A minimum of 90 days sober or in a recovery program such as Al-Anon and a GHIN number.
    • To play in competitive matches in the Bill W. Division you need to have a GHIN number and be sober/clean/in a recovery program such as Al-Anon for 1 year.
  • No – if you meet the requirements as listed above you can join.
  • Yes – the fellowship created in “the league” extends into all facets of members lives.
    • If you are a recovering person, you do not need to be in a 12 Step Program, but most members are a member of a 12 step program such as AA, NA or Al-Anon.
    • If you are a family member of a person in recovery you must belong to, and actively be participating in, a program such as Al-Anon or Nar-Anon to belong to WSGL
  • Yes, we often attend sporting events together, arrange dinners together, take trips, or go to 12 Step meetings together.
  • Yes – there are scholarships and financial support for anyone who needs it if they meet the minimum requirements listed above
  • Yes, we are a 501(c)(3) Corporation and actively seek donations and financial support from interested parties.  There is a page on our website that makes it very easy to make a donation.
  • Yes, we are actively looking to expand across the country and are looking for volunteers in new areas to help us do so.
